_______________in the historic West Adams district of Los Angeles; first Phase 1 building
_______________to be completed & DSA certified; < 1% change orders

_______DESIGN: Influenced by the vernacular style of school & civic buildings (many funded by PWA)
_______________constructed during the 30's & 40's in LA; utilitarian in nature, with 'stripped classicism'
_______________hallmarks of simple geometry, modest ornamentation, 'democratic' gregariousness

_______CLIENT:       Los Angeles Unified School District: funded with public money; Mike Talle, OAR

_______GOAL:        Relieve over-crowding in LA public schools

_______PROGRAM:   Mandated classroom sizes with fixed furniture & cabinetry
